Website and Computing Systems Manager

Andrew is an inaugural Director and the Education Programs and Computing Systems Manager of the Australia Myanmar Institute for Democracy, Human Rights and Peace. His work background is across a range of fields but mainly in Secondary School Education in the United Kingdom and in South Australia with some experience at university level. Wider experiences include as a Systems Manager for a building company; a Security Officer; a Disability Support worker and currently as the Facilities Manager at the Central School of Art in Adelaide South Australia. He completed his double degree in Education and Arts at Flinders University and followed on with Certificates in Security Operations and Hospitality. He has travelled in Asia and Europe and has experience working as a homestay guardian for international students from many Asian nations. His interest in mentoring international students combined with an understanding of the historical complexities of the Indo pacific geopolitical region has given him an insight into the humanitarian and refugee issues of the people of Myanmar and the wider Myanmar diaspora communities in Australia.
