All South Australian can get five free rapid antigen tests from selected collection points across the state until 31 December 2022.

Free rapid antigen tests will be available at more community centres in metro and regional South Australia over the coming weeks.

If you test positive using a rapid antigen test, report your result using the online form on the SA Health website.

If you can’t use the online form or do not have internet access, someone else can report the result for you.

You can also report your result by calling the Communicable Disease Control Branch on 1300 232 272 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. If you test positive outside of these hours, report your result the next business day.

Closure of dedicated PCR testing sites

Dedicated PCR testing and RAT collection sites will close on 8 January 2023.

From 9 January, you can get a COVID-19 PCR test with GP referral at selected SA Pathology Collection Centres.

To protect the community, it’s important to test for COVID-19 if you have symptoms and stay home until you are well.

COVID-19 testing is particularly important for people who are eligible for oral antiviral treatments.

Eligible people should speak with their doctor about what to do if they get COVID-19 symptoms.

Vaccination records before travel

If you are travelling overseas, make sure your vaccination records are up to date.

Some airlines and destinations need to see proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. You can download your immunisation history statement before your trip.

If any of your records are missing, contact your vaccination provider. This might be your GP, a pharmacy or SA Health. They can correct your record in the Australian Immunisation Register. It can take time for your records to be corrected.

For more information on getting your immunisation history statement, visit www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/how-to-get-immunisation-history-statement.
